Novy & Associates founder Robert Novy is passionate about his chosen specialty of law. The area of Elder Law is where he derives tremendous satisfaction, as he helps clients live their lives with autonomy, independence, and dignity. His areas of expertise include: Estate Planning, Estate Settlement, Estate Litigation, Asset Protection, Disability Protection, Medicaid Planning, Guardianships, and Real Estate.

He has been practicing law in New Jersey since 1976 and is admitted to practice before the Federal District Court of New Jersey and the United States Supreme Court. In 1978, Mr. Novy decided to pursue the challenging and ever-evolving niche of Elder Law. Today he is one of the most respected and sought-after Elder Law attorneys in Ocean and Monmouth counties.

In addition to providing legal services to the Ocean County Office on Aging, Mr. Novy is an in-demand speaker on Elder Law related issues among the area’s civic, charitable, and professional organizations. He also hosts the popular radio show, "Inside the Law," which is broadcast every other Saturday on 1160 WOBM-AM, and he is a contributing author to many Ocean/Monmouth County publications. During her governorship, Christine Todd Whitman appointed him to the New Jersey Commission on Aging.

In 2011, Mr. Novy was inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) National Leader Honor Society at Georgian Court University. Membership in this prestigious organization is the mark of the highest distinction and honor and recognizes superior scholarship, leadership, and exemplary character.

Mr. Novy believes in giving back to the community, and his philanthropic efforts are widely known. Over the years, he has received dozens of awards for his generosity and volunteerism, among them: 1999 Toms River-Ocean County Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award; 2004 United Way of Ocean County Volunteer of the Year Award; 2010 American Cancer Society Citizen of the Year Award; and 2011 Monmouth-Ocean Development Council Community Service Award.
